The Mission
Paving The Way: Diversity In Lactation, Inc (PTW) is dedicated to supporting aspiring International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLCs) of Color on their journeys to becoming leaders in lactation support. We believe every family deserves access to culturally relevant lactation care—and that begins by increasing diversity in the lactation profession. Through mentorship, community, and targeted resources, we are breaking down barriers and building a more inclusive future for lactation care.

Connected aspiring IBCLCs with hospitals, private practices, and virtual mentors
Obtained grant funding from community partners to offer financial reimbursement for educational expenses for years 2023 & 2024
81% pass rate for the IBCLC exam
